Arriving in UAE + Hotel

As soon as we got off the plane there were Nirvana Travel agents there to meet us.  We were given name tags that said we were teachers with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), and escorted through the airport. First we went to get eye exams and received the first stamp on our visas. Then through what I assume was customs, but that consisted of a glance at the passport and visa, another stamp on the visa, and goodbye! :) We then picked up our luggage and walked OUTSIDE!!!

WHOA was it HOT!!!  Unforgiving hot and humid, as if it had rained or something.

We pushed our luggage towards a truck, where guys were tossing them on, and then we all ran to our buses and the AC! The ride was short considering the airport is in the middle of nowhere!

Upon the arrival to the hotel we received juice and ice wrapped in wash cloths.  A quick cool down!  We then received our room information and schedule for the coming days.  The luggage was brought to our rooms in a timely fashion, and thus far the Travel agency has done a great job!  They are friendly, well-organized and timely!
